About the team
In 2005/06, Tim Deacon took over the leadership duties for the Vets team, since then they have gone from strength to strength growing the size of the squad as well as racking up some impressive winning runs. They started off just playing friendlies and cup matches, but have now entered the West London Veterans Football League to test themselves against some of the strongest sides around.
They have moved up to now play in the second of four tiers (Division 1) and are focused on earning promotion to the Premier division.
Under the captaincy of Carl Nicholas, the 2023-24 season saw the Vets finish runners-up in Division 1 and gain promotion to the Premier Division. The Vets also reached the Semi Finals of the AFA Over 40s Vets Cup before losing to Bromleians. A great season by all involved.
